Did you know?
Glass isn’t only formed in glass plants. It can be formed naturally by lightening when it strikes a beach. The heat sometimes fuses the sand into long, slender glass tubes called fulgurites. It can also be formed by volcanoes – the intense heat of a volcanic eruption can fuse the rock and sand into a glass called Obsidian Glass. Impactite Glass is formed during the impact of meteorites on Earth.
